'Hellraiser' Reimagining With Starry YA Cast Set For Hulu In October

A new Hellraiser is dropping on Hulu this spooky season.

The 1987 Clive Baker horror film was based on the novel The Hell Bound Heart, focusing on a mystical puzzle that summons the Cenobites.

The new film debuts on Oct. 7 as a part of "Huluween."

In the new version of the film, a young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension.

The ensemble cast includes Odessa A’zion, Jamie Clayton, Adam Faison, Drew Starkey, Brandon Flynn Aoife Hinds, Jason Liles, Yinka Olorunnife, Selina Lo, Zachary Hing, Kit Clarke, with Goran Visnjic and Hiam Abbass.

The film is a Hulu original in association with Spyglass Media Group.

The team behind The Night House — director David Bruckner, screenwriters Ben Collins & Luke Piotrowski, writer/producer David S. Goyer and producer Keith Levine, reteam on this along with producers Clive Barker and Marc Toberoff and executive producers Gary Barber, Peter Oillataguerre and Todd Williams. Chris Stone and Gracie Wheelan are co-producers.
