Henry Simmons has joined the cast of Lifetime network's drama, Stalkers, which has Mena Suvari, Drea De Matteo and Jodi Lyn O'Keefe attached to star.

The film is based on Rhonda Saunders' book Whisper of Fear: The True Story of the Prosecutor Who Stalks the Stalkers, and its synopsis reads:

Diane Harper (De Matteo), the hot-headed cop with a troubled past teams with a polished district attorney, Julia Whitman (O'Keefe) to bring a stalker (Suvari) obsessed with her former lover, to justice.

Simmons will play Harper's partner Cliff, who initially clashes with her and is put off by her defensiveness and unorthodox methods, says THR.

The telepic was penned by David Wiener (Last Resort) and is being produced by Pilgrim Studios and exec produced by Craig Piligian.

The 2-hour film will serve as a pilot for an eventual serial.

Simmons also booked a role in an episode (the 9th) of FOX's Bones, playing CEO of the world's largest provider of mercenaries.

He'll next be seen on the big screen alongside Idris Elba and Taraji P. Henson In No Good Deed.
