It’s that time of the month again, when Netflix releases its list of films and TV series that will be coming to and leaving the premiere SVOD service during the following month; in this case, that month will be August. So if any of the below titles are of interest to you, add them to your watchlists/calendars, noting when they are expected to arrive or exit.
Netflix original content includes the first season of Rev Run and Justine Simmons’ comedy, All About the Washingtons.
There’s also the movie project that was developed by the late WorldStar Hip-Hop founder Lee “Q” O’Denat, The After Party (with Kyle, Teyana Taylor, Blair Underwood and more). Percelle Ascott also stars in the YA series, The Innocents.
Two Netflix original documentaries include Marching Orders and Zion.
Zion, which premiered at Sundance, is “gripping portrait of Zion Clark, a young wrestler born without legs who grew up in foster care. Clark began wrestling in second grade against his able-bodied peers. The physical challenge became a therapeutic outlet and gave him a sense of family. Moving from foster home to foster home, wrestling became the only constant thing in his childhood.”
Outside of Netflix-originated content, the classic film Paid In Full is also coming to the streaming giant.
The second season of the critically-acclaimed NBC comedy, The Good Place will also be available.
