Here's Why Kym Whitley Calls Her Favorite Role 'Weird'

On the latest episode of Shadow And Act’s Facebook Live Q&A series, Locked Down With ___  Kym Whitley told viewers what her favorite role in her career has been. The answer was unexpected.

My favorite role is weird,” she said. I love my role on The Wayans Bros. show I did years ago…and I was stalking him and I kidnapped him and I had those teeth all in my mouth.”

The him” in question is Marlon Wayans, the man her character Phyllis was obsessed with. The episode aired during the series’ fifth season in 1998.

Whitley also mentioned her roles on Curb Your Enthusiasm, Next Friday (her first film role), Twenties and #BlackAF among her current favorites.

“When I get to play and have fun, that’s when it’s good,” she said.
