High Fidelity has been canceled after one season at Hulu.

As Deadline reports, the decision was not easy as the show’s first season was received warmly by critics and it has a massive star with Kravitz. The trade publication reports, “[The show] had internal support at Hulu, whose brass took extra time to mull a potential renewal, with sibling ABC Signature extending the options on the cast by a month to accommodate that. In the end, the streamer opted not to proceed with a second season. Finding another home for the show is considered a long shot, I hear.”

The report also says that Love, Victor, another Hulu show based on a film/book property (which also happened to be developed at Disney+ before moving to Hulu), is looking good on renewal chances. High Fidelity is being shopped around but pick-up chances look slim.

According to the official description: “A departure from Nick Hornby’s 1995 novel and beloved 2000 film, Hulu’s High Fidelity centers on Rob [Kravitz]…a female record store owner in the rapidly gentrified neighborhood of Crown Heights, Brooklyn who revisits past relationships through music and pop culture, while trying to get over her one true love.”

The show also starred Da’Vine Joy Randolph as well as David H. Holmes, Jake Lacy and Kingsley Ben-Adir.
