Netflix has landed its first collaboration with Steven Soderbergh on the basketball drama High Flying Bird.

Andre Holland, Zazie Beetz, Zachary Quinto, Kyle MacLachlan, Melvin Gregg, Sonja Sohn and Bill Duke star.

The film, set during a pro basketball lockout, follows a sports agent who pitches a rookie basketball client an intriguing and controversial business proposition. Holland will be the agent; the basketball player is Gregg.

It is the second Soderbergh/Holland collaboration, as Holland starred in Soderbergh’s Cinemax series The Knick.

Holland also reunites with the scriptwriter, Moonlight scribe Tarell Alvin McCraney. Holland is also an executive producer through his Harper Road Films.

Deadline first reported the news.
