The finale season of Issa Rae’s iconic dramedy Insecure is set to debut on Oct. 24. In addition to our favorite cast of characters, some familiar faces including Queen Sugar’s Kofi Siriboe and Keke Palmer will also be in the final episodes.

Palmer actually snagged her role with a tweet. In 2020, she expressed her delight about the show, slyly mentioning to Rae that she should have a guest role. She wrote, “put me in to beat Condola’s ass real quick.” Palmer was referencing Christina Elmore’s character Condola, who is having a baby with Issa’s ex-boyfriend Lawrence (Jay Ellis).

Though Palmer has snagged her role it’s not exactly what she expected. After the trailer for the new season dropped, Palmer was showcased standing next to Condola who was holding a gorgeous little baby. “Careful what you wish for,” Palmer wrote on Instagram.

It looks like Palmer’s character won’t be at odds with Condola, but the Scream Queens alum is thrilled to be in the final season of Insecure.

“Genuinely so thankful to @issarae! I always shoot my work shots (cause I loves to werk), what’s the worst that can happen? Present your skill, you never know how it can be of service,” Palmer in her caption. In this last season, it looks like we’re going to see Issa and Molly (Yvonne Oriji) repair their relationship. And if Lawrence and Issa don’t work out, we’re hoping that Siriboe’s character will be Issa’s new bae.

The final season of Insecure will premiere Oct. 24 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
