Watch The Trailer For Hulu's JJ Abrams/Stephen King Horror Series, 'Castle Rock,' Starring André Holland

Hulu has released the trailer for Castle Rock, ahead of the upcoming series’ Super Bowl TV spot. Last year, they debuted The Handmaid’s Tale trailer.

In February of 2016, Hulu announced a partnership with J.J. Abrams and Stephen King to create another limited series based on one of King’s works (the trio previously collaborated on the time-travel thriller “11/22/63” last year, which is currently streaming on Hulu for subscribers).

The series, a psychological-horror titled Castle Rock, is named after the fictional town in King’s native Maine which has served as the setting for a number of his novels, novellas and short stories. The series will explore the themes and worlds uniting King’s entire canon, while incorporating some of his most iconic and beloved stories.

André Holland toplines the series, playing Henry, a death row attorney with a unique and complicated history in Castle Rock, Maine. It also stars Melanie Lynskey, Jane Levy, Sissy Spacek, Bill Skarsgård, Scott Glenn and Terry O’Quinn.

In the trailer below, Holland’s character returns home after receiving a call from Shawshank (yes, the prison from The Shawshank Redemption).

Hulu issued a 10-episode order for the series.

Holland last appeared in a TV series in FX’s American Horror Story: Roanoke and he had a critically-acclaimed turn on Cinemax’s The Knick.
