Popular programming from Viacom’s networks has a new streaming home at Hulu. Shows include Daria, Nathan for You, My Super Sweet 16, Big Time Rush, School of Rock and more. Something of particular interest is that because of the licensing deal, Hulu now has The New Edition Story, one of BET’s most successful TV miniseries ventures.

Parts One through Three of The New Edition Story became BET’s highest rated and most watched telecasts in five years since 2012’s fifth season premiere of The Game. It also became the No. 1 cable telecast in primetime among African-Americans between 18-49 years of age, Nos. 1 and 2 weeknight telecasts on all cable in the 18-49 demographic excluding news and sports, No. 1 cable program in its premiere week (excluding sports), No. 1 cable telecast for three consecutive days and the No. 1 most social TV program for the three days of airing, totaling 6M social media interactions. The miniseries was also the No. 1 most social episode during its three nights on Facebook and Twitter and propelled BET to become the No. 1 most social network on TV.

The success of the miniseries secured BET’s investment in a follow-up, The Bobby Brown Story, detailing Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston’s tumultuous relationship. Gabrielle Denis stars as Houston, and Woody McClain reprises his role as Brown.

Other shows that are now available for streaming via the Viacom/Hulu licensing deal include Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn; Hunter Street; Make It Pop; Every Witch Way and WITS Academy, including already-streaming shows such as Alvinnnn!!! and the Chipmunks, Kung Fu Panda and Penguins of Madagascar.
