R. Kelly’s history of sexual abuse has been well documented within the music industry, but the mainstream media is finally giving the infamous singer the indictment we have been calling for. According to VarietyHulu has ordered a documentary feature from BuzzFeed News that will focus on the R&B singer’s alleged sexual abuse of black women and girls.

The documentary will include reporting by Jim DeRogatis and Marisa Carroll, the BuzzFeed News reporter who broke the story on R. Kelly’s alleged sex cult. The documentary will also feature interviews with prominent figures in Kelly’s past, as well as several survivors of the singer’s alleged abuse. The singer was indicted on multiple accounts of child pornography before being acquitted in 2002.

While no premiere date and a title have been announced for the documentary, it will be distributed exclusively on Hulu. The documentary will be directed by Lyric R. Cabral and executive produced by Oscar-winner Laura Poitras and Charlotte Cook. The project for Hulu is the latest programming deal for BuzzFeed News which has produced the Netflix show Follow This.
