Idris Elba Tests Positive For Coronavirus

Actor Idris Elba announced on Monday that he’s tested positive for the coronavirus. This comes as Hollywood has virtually shut down amid growing concerns about the pandemic.

Elba tweeted, “This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus.  Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing ???????????????? No panic.”

He is the third major Hollywood figure to test positive for the disease. Actor Tom Hanks and his wife, actress Rita Wilson, tested positive late last week.

As coronavirus spreads, the disease is continuing to impact Hollywood. Most television series, films and talk shows have suspended production either for a few weeks or indefinitely.
