Janks Morton's follow-up to his 2007 independent documentary What Black Men Think, will attempt to tackle/answer the question: "Are there more Black Men in jail or college?"

Titled Hoodwinked, here's the breakdown:

Because of the plethora of misinformation, stereotypes and misperceptions around Black male identity, most respondents answered "jail." In the sequel titled HOODWINKED, Mr Morton, armed with current research, statistics, data and the arm and weight of organizations like the US Census Bureau, The Department of Education, The Department of Justice and other government agencies reporting social, economic and racial data, Mr. Morton will once again systematically dismember multiple cultural falsehoods about Black Male Identity.

This Thursday, September 6th, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM (ET), if you live in the Washington DC area, you are invited to the film's premiere, courtesy of iYAGO Entertainment Group.

The event, which will be held at Avalon Theaters on 5612 Connecticut Ave, and will also include a post-screening discussion, with director Janks Morton, is called "HOODWINKED: We Can No Longer Doubt Our Greatness."

A statement about the film, from Morton reads:

For over four-hundred years, the majority society has used many tools to reinforce a message that the peoples of African descent are less-than, not-equal-too or not-good enough. In this modern era of information, the media, government and special interests use statistics to further promote the message of Black inferiority. What troubles me most, is that we as a people have internalized the misinformation, embraced the myths, and perpetuated the stereotypes, sadly reinforcing a collective misperception of our own identities.
