Following a November teaser release, the first full trailer for Shonda Rhimes’ upcoming Netflix series, Inventing Anna, has now dropped.

The series, which is the first Rhimes has written herself since Scandal, gives viewers a look at the dramatized version of the hard-to-believe true story of Anna Delvey, a grifter-turned-socialite. The series is based on Jessica Pressler’s New York Magazine article, “How an Aspiring ‘It’ Girl Tricked New York’s Party People.’

Inventing Anna stars Julia Garner as Delvey, woman who describes herself as an heiress but is actually a con artist who tricks New York’s wealthiest partiers. As the logline describes:

In Inventing Anna, a journalist with a lot to prove investigates the case of Anna Delvey, the Instagram-legendary German heiress who stole the hearts of New York’s social scene – and stole their money as well. But is Anna New York’s biggest con woman, or is she simply the new portrait of the American dream? Anna and the reporter form a dark, funny, love-hate bond as Anna awaits trial and our reporter fights the clock to answer the biggest question in NYC: who is Anna Delvey? The series is inspired by the New York Magazine article “How an Aspiring ‘It’ Girl Tricked New York’s Party People — and its Banks” by Jessica Pressler, who also serves as a producer.

The series is created by Rhimes, who also acts as showrunner and writer. Matt Byrne, Jess Brownell, Abby Ajayi and Nick Nardini are also writers on the series with Nzingha Stewart, Shondaland staple Tom Verica, David Frankel, Daisy Von Scherler Mayer and Ellen Kuras directing episodes. Rhimes, Verica, Betsy Beers and Frankel are also executive producers.

The series also stars Laverne Cox, Alexis Floyd, Anna Chlumsky, Arian Moayed, Katie Lowes, Anders Holm, Anna Deavere Smith, Jeff Perry and Terry Kinney. The series comes to Netflix on Feb. 11.
