Sibling duo LisaRaye McCoy and DaBrat have each had more than their fair share of success in the entertainment industry.
Actress and talk show host McCoy got her breakthrough with her portrayal of Diana “Diamond” Armstrong in the 1998 cult classic film The Players Club. Since then, McCoy has gone on to star in shows such as the UPN sitcom All Of Us and the VH1 series Single Ladies, as well as appear in films such as Soul Food, Beauty Shop, All About You and The Wood.
On the music front, rap legend Shawntae “Da Brat” Harris made her grand entrance in the music world in 1994 with the release of her debut album Funkdafied. Selling over one million copies, it marked the first time a female rap artist went platinum. Known for her hits like “Not Tonight” and “Funkdafied,” Da Brat has gone on to receive two Grammy nominations and two BET Award nominations.
But who’s the oldest of the sibling duo? McCoy is the older sibling by seven years. when she’s not acting in films and television shows, McCoy is also a co-host on the Fox Soul show Cocktails with Queens alongside Vivica A. Fox, Syleena Johnson and Claudia Jordan.
Back in October of last year, a lot of fans just realized that the two were half-sisters after a contentious dialogue that they had with each other on Fox Soul’s Cocktails with Queens. They’ve since both moved on from the incident.
