Titled Game Time DecisionMatthew Cherry’s follow-up to his feature film debut, The Last Fall (now streaming on Netflix) has attracted the acting talents of Isaiah Washington, who will star as a retired football player suffering from the effects of concussions sustained during his professional career, as he tries to reconnect with his estranged family, especially a son following in his father’s footsteps, in danger of a similar kind of future.

Like The Last Fall, the very topical Game Time Decision is a family drama set against a pro-sports backdrop, reflecting Cherry’s own real-life interests as a former NFL wide receiver – the goal of the film being to highlight Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, a degenerative disease, common in individuals with a history of multiple concussions and other forms of head injury; an affliction suffered by dozens of deceased former players, like Junior Seau.

To help kickstart the film into production, Cherry has launched an Indiegogo fundraising campaign to raise $30,000, which will go towards pre-production.
