Fresh off of filming her latest movie, The Photograph, Issa Rae is jumping ship from the movie set to the award stage.

The Insecure creator and actress is set to be honored at the 2019 Women In Film Gala on Wednesday, June 12 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, California.

She will receive the inaugural Emerging Entrepreneur Award, which is given to “a promising talent in the fields of film, television, and/or digital media, whose professional pursuits are resulting in progress for the next generation of talented women.”

Other honorees include Widows and Lovecraft Country star Elizabeth Debicki, actress and comedian Amy Poehler and film producer Cathy Schulman. Past honorees have included the women of Black Panther and Brie Larson.

Very recently, Rae co-starred alongside Marsai Martin in the fantasy comedy Little. Made on a budget of $20 million, the Will Packer-produced film has gone to become a commercial success with a gross of $43.2 million worldwide so far. Rae is also set to star alongside Kumail Nanjiani in the murder mystery rom-com, The Lovebirds, for Paramount.
