nullI previously joked that, some time in the future, there will be a mammoth Marvel Studio movie in which every single Marvel character will all appear. All of them! The movie will cost $1 billion, and will be released around the world simultaneously on 100,000 screens.

Whether it’ll be a mega blockbuster for the studio, I can’t say. But as ridiculous as it might sound, I wouldn’t dismiss the idea entirely. Let’s check back 5 years from now.

Today, it looks like we can confirm that Anthony Mackie as Falcon, will appear in the upcoming "Ant-Man" movie, which is set for release on July 17, 2015, from director Peyton Reed.

There were rumors that a member of The Avengers squad would appear in the film, but that was never confirmed officially, nor did we know with certainty who that Avenger would be. Well, now we know, thanks to a new international TV spot for "Ant-Man" that popped up online yesterday. It’s embedded below; although if you blink, you might miss Falcon’s few frames.

What might he be doing in "Ant-Man"? I’ll leave that to you Marvel universe experts to chime in and enlighten the rest of us. All I can say is that the studio has already made clear the interconnected nature of the Marvel universe, which will be reflected in its screen (film and TV) properties. So continue to expect cameo (or more than cameo) appearances by the various Marvel superheroes in each other’s movies, which will eventually lead to that massive, singular Marvel project that I joked about above.

Joining star Paul Rudd as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, Michael Douglas as his mentor Dr. Hank Pym, and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, daughter of Hank Pym, are Wood Harris and T.I., along with Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Abby Ryder Fortson, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, John Slattery and Gregg Turkington.

As for what specific roles T.I. and Wood Harris, notably, are playing in the movie, T.I. previously teased his involvement in the film, during an interview with V100.7 Radio a couple of months ago, when he said that he wasn’t at liberty to talk about the part, but that he would be… drum-roll… "a superhero’s homeboy."

When it was first announced that he’d joined the film’s cast, many of you were worried that he’d be playing a hoodlum, thug, or a gangster, and the like. While his revelation to V100.7 may not entirely calm your concerns, it looks like he’s at least one of the good guys – "a superhero’s homeboy;" That superhero likely being Ant-Man. So he’s likely one of Ant-Man’s sidekicks.
