nullHere are 2 character posters released via the "Magic Mike XXL" Twitter account today, featuring Jada Pinkett Smith (as club owner) and Stephen “tWitch” Boss (as one of the dancers).

The pair join fellow newcomers Donald Glover, Elizabeth Banks, Michael Strahan, Gabriel Iglesias, Andie MacDowell, and Amber Heard in the sequel to the hit 2012 movie starring Channing Tatum, which is based on his early days as a male stripper.

Greg Jacobs, assistant director to Steven Soderbergh on the first film, directed this one. He has said that the sequel will be different from the first film: "It’s a road trip movie, and put it this way: It’s different enough that once you see it you’ll understand why we made a sequel… No one will be accusing us of making the same movie twice."

Matt Bomer and Joe Manganiello will be reprising their roles.

I should note that there is the Michael Jai White/Tyson Beckford/Jean-Claude LaMarre drama "Chocolate City," an upcoming film that will take viewers into the world of male strippers, who also happen to be black.

The first "Magic Mike" was was a hit, earning $113 million in domestic box office; a Broadway musical based on the movie is in the works.

The sequel opens July 1, 2015.
