It is directed by Sundance Grand Jury Prize-winning director, Crystal Moselle. Her debut feature film, The Wolfpack, premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and was awarded the U.S. Documentary Grand Jury Prize for her visionary biopic following the isolated lives of the six Angulo brothers confined to a New York City Apartment.

Inspired by events in the girls’ lives and written by Moselle, the now-untitled film will tell the story of Camille, a lonely suburban teenager whose life changes dramatically when she befriends a group of girl skateboarders. As she journeys into the raw New York City subculture, she begins to make choices that lead to a deeper understanding of herself. The film just finished principal photography.

Smith just wrapped up production on Life In A Year with Cara Delevingne and Cuba Gooding Jr.
