For much of his life, he’s been known as “Urkel” from the ABC network show Family Matters but actor Jaleel White can now add game show host to his resume. He’ll be hosting a new unscripted series called Total Blackout on the SyFy network.
Apparently, the challenge-based show takes place in complete darkness. Contestants will face their competitors in spooky games full of surprises. There are no lights, no blindfolds and no-holds barred as the players face their fears and unexpected surprises in a series of nerve-wracking games.
Mark Stern, Syfy’s President of Original Content, says “Total Blackout brings to life, in a wonderfully clever, intense and funny way, what can happen when your imagination runs away with you.”
I remember playing a game like this when I was eight and it didn’t have a good ending. My little sister walked into a wall and had to get stitches on her forehead.
Production on the series starts Oct.18.
