With the
news that’s getting everyone all excited that Chadwick Boseman will be playing
the Black Panther in Marvel film’s upcoming film version, Universal has not picked
a better time to announce that their bio-pic of James Brown Get on Up will be
coming out on in a blu-ray/standard DVD/Digital HD combo package on January 6th.
Though
people were split on the film literally everyone agreed that Boseman gave a
powerhouse performance as The Godfather of Soul in the film and the DVD will
contain a whole hosts of extras including a commentary by director Tate
Taylor, deleted, extended and alternate scenes, full song performances and extended
song performances.
And if that isn’t
enough, there will be as well a selection of “behind the scenes” extras
including Long Journey to the Screen, Chadwick Boseman: Meet Mr. James Brown, The
"Get On Up" Family, On Stage with the Hardest Working Man, The
Founding Father of Funk and Tate Taylor’s Master Class
I admit though that
last one is a puzzlement since I’m not exactly sure with a master class with the
guy who made The Help exactly means if you catch my drift.
