Jamie Foxx is showing off early signs of his transformation into Mike Tyson for the upcoming–and long awaited–biopic.

“A few months ago we started the journey…The first but biggest task is to transform the body…with a regiment of pull-ups, dips and push-ups,” he wrote on Instagram, adding that he’s “off to a pretty good start” but has “a ways to go.”

According to TODAY, Foxx shared the Instagram pictures to friend and restaurateur Mark Birnbaum’s Instagram Live show Catching Up and said he’s been doing 10 pull-ups, 60 dips and 100 push-ups every day to bulk up.

The project has been around for many, many years at this point, but has only started appearing like a greenlit project in May 2019, when Foxx posted an image of him and Tyson. Originally the project was set to be directed by Martin Scorcese and would be distributed by Paramount.
