For Janelle Monáe fans, The Age of Pleasure, her latest studio album, is the gift that keeps on giving.

The 37-year-old artist is currently on the road for her The Age of Pleasure Tour, which concludes on Oct. 18 at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California.

On Oct. 5, as Monáe geared up for her stop in Atlanta, a special place to the Kansas City native since it’s where she attended college and also found her people, she announced via an Instagram post that she had collaborated with Latto and Quavo for her remix of “Champagne S**t,” one the most popular songs from her fourth studio album, The Age of Pleasure — released on June 9, 2023.

“C H A M P A G N E S H I T 🍾 💩ATL REMIX 10/6 (midnight!)! @latto777 X @quavohuncho🥂,” she captioned a photo of the single’s artwork.

A few hours later, she shared a video of herself with her team on what appears to be a tour bus. The footage shows the moment the Prince protégé shared the exciting news that “Champagne S**t” was getting the remix treatment.

After her squad took turns guessing what tune off The Age of Pleasure would be getting reimagined, Monáe hinted that “it’s inspired by my roots in Atlanta” before playing the single. Once she turned it on, the bus went wild with excitement and started singing along.

Fans also joined in on the celebration in the comments section of Monáe’s post.

“The fact that the teaser got me hype hearing an adlib 🥴,” one person wrote.

“[I’m] legit having concert withdrawals. You killT your performance in STL!😩🫶🏽❤️,” someone else said.
