With Saturday Night Live returning for a new season, starting with this weekend's episode, emphasis is being placed on the show's contributions to weekly political commentary, especially with another presidential election in full swing.

The questions on everyone's minds are: who will play Mitt Romney, and who will play Barack Obama.

Well, Jason Sudeikis is your Romney. But, even though he's been playing Obama since 2008, according to New York Times piece on the late night show, Fred Armisen will be vacating that spot this coming season, and will be replaced by… Jay Pharoah, who joined the cast in 2010.

Said exec producer Lorne Michaels, "Jay has been doing Obama in his act this summer, and Jay is coming into his own… I just thought it might be time to shake it up."

And I'm sure for many, it's about damn time.

Congrats on the upgrade Jay! Something tells me you're going to have a busy fall, and maybe even further out.
