It should be no surprise to anyone who's a devoted fan (like me) of Larry David's HBO comedy series, Curb Your Enthusiasm, that the show's regular supporting player JB Smoove, has joined the cast of David's HBO movie, Clear History, set to start shooting this fall in Massachussetts.
Taking a break from Enthusiasm, though there's still no word yet if the show will ever return for another season on HBO, David's film, which he co-wrote and stars in, along with Jonn Hamm, Eva Mendes, Bill Hader and Michael Keaton, centers around a company executive, who, after a peronsal and public humiliation due to a falling out with a co-exec (Hamm), retreats to a simple life with his family on an island.
However, ten years later, when Hamm arrives on the island to renovate his summer home, David uses the opportunity to finally get his revenge.
Superbad director Greg Mottola is in talks to direct the project, which originally was going to be made for Fox Seachlight, until HBO came in with a better offer and bigger budget for the film.
And as with Enthusiam, most of the film's dialogue will be improvised with the actors following the basic premise of the storyline.
