Netflix has released a trailer for its next Adam Sandler original film “Sandy Wexler,” which is Sandler’s third feature film under the current multi-picture deal he has with the streaming service – all of which have only been released on Netflix, bypassing theaters entirely.

The film follows Sandy Wexler (Adam Sandler), a talent manager working in Los Angeles in the 1990s, who diligently represents a group of eccentric clients on the fringes of show business. His single-minded devotion is put to the test when he falls in love with his newest client, Courtney Clarke, a tremendously talented singer who he discovers at an amusement park.

Jennifer Hudson plays Courtney Clarke, the talented singer Sandy Wexler falls in love with. An unexpected pairing.

The film also features cameo appearances by Adam Terry Crews, Arsenio Hall, Carl Weathers, Chris Rock, Darius Rucker and others.

“Sandy Wexler” reunites Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions company with director Steve Brill (“The Do-Over”).

Paul Sado, Dan Bulla and Sandler wrote the script.

It premieres on Netflix on April 14.
