The always-booked Jonathan Majors has booked a role in Spike Lee’s new film, Da Understudy, at Amazon Studios.

This will be a reunion between Majors and Lee, as he starred in the director’s Netflix film, Da 5 Bloods.

Per THR, Majors is set to play a Broadway actor who finds a role worth killing for.

Lee is in the early stages of negotiations to direct the movie and will executive produce it.

Westbrook Studios developed the project with the screenplay being written by Tom Hanada, Zach Strauss, and Tyler Cole. Cole is also executive producing.

Through his Tall Street Productions banner, Majors will also produce. Alongside Majors, Will Smith will also produce for Westbrook with Jon Mone and Mike Soccio.

For Westbrook Studios, Ryan Shimazaki will oversee the development.

Majors is currently starring in Creed III alongside Michael B. Jordan and in Marvel’s Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, both in theaters now.
