Jordan Peele To Hold Special Early Screening Of 'Us' At This HBCU

The promotional team at Universal, Blumouhse and Monkeypaw have a clever way of marketing their films! Wednesday, it was announced that the students of Howard University will be among the first to see Us, Jordan Peele’s second directorial feature and follow up to Get Out.

On March 20, the highly anticipated psychological horror film will screen for Howard University’s students at the campus’ Cramton Auditorium. The screening will be followed by a special Q&A with Jordan Peele, along with Us stars Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke. Howard University students may pick up tickets for Us beginning on Monday, March 18 at 10 a.m.  The screening will be held Wednesday, March 20 at 5 p.m. Doors open at 4 p.m. However, those eager to a front raw seat to Us should get their tickets quick, as seating will be first come, first served.

The Howard University logo was featured prominently throughout the trailer for Us that premieres during Christmas Day. In the trailer, Gabe Wilson (Winston Duke) is seen most notably donning a Howard University sweater during his confrontation with “The Tethered”, the group of doppelgangers that terrorize the Wilson family. Us arrives in theaters in March 22 and it makes its world premiere at SXSW this Friday.
