Joy-Ann Reid's 'AM Joy' has beaten CNN in total viewers for fifth straight month

Great news for Joy-Ann Reid and her MSNBC weekend morning show, AM Joy.

According to Nielsen, the show beat CNN’s programming in the timeslot among total viewers for the month of July.

AM Joy’s Saturday edition averaged 1.02 million viewers, versus CNN’s 778,000 in the time period. This is the fifth straight month that the show has beat CNN. AM Joy’s Sunday edition averaged 880,000 total viewers versus CNN’s 878,000.

In addition, the show has double-digit growth in the 25-54 demographic, will both FOX News and CNN’s were down for the month in comparison to the same time last year.

Saturday’s AM Joy was up 45 percent in the demographic and 53 percent up overall, while the Sunday was up 74 percent in the demographic and 72 percent in total viewers. FOX News and CNN’s were down in the demographics and overall with all stats showing 5 percent and lower decreases.
