Disney Channel’s experimental sitcom Just Roll With It will preview Friday night.

The sitcom will officially premiere Wednesday, June 19 at 8 p.m. ET, but the Friday night preview, airing at 9:45 p.m. ET, will give audiences a first look at how the inventive comedy will utilize fan interaction within a scripted format.

The show will follow the Bennett-Blatt family, a blended family with step-siblings Blair (Kaylin Hayman) and Owen (Ramon Reed). Blair is more like her stepfather Byron (Tobie Windham), with both being free-wheeling, while stepmother Rachel (Suzi Barrett) and Owen are more alike in their strict organizational style.

According to the official description:

Filmed before a studio audience, “Just Roll With It” blends improvisational comedy with a scripted family sitcom that allows the studio audience the opportunity to select the direction of key scenes. This unique series follows the newly blended Bennett-Blatt family – pre-teen stepsiblings Blair and Owen and their fun-loving parents Rachel and Byron – as they navigate everyday family life and the ups and downs of adolescence while balancing a household of contrasting personalities. Blair, often a rebel without a cause, is the polar opposite of her very regimented, but loving, mom Rachel, who is a decorated military veteran and station manager for BEATZ 101. Owen, a model student who thrives when following rules and detailed schedules, tries to manage his creative and charismatic father, Byron, an on-air radio personality on BEATZ 101. Through it all, the Bennett-Blatts, and the actors who play them, know how to take whatever life – and the studio audience – throws at them … and just roll with it.

If that doesn’t showcase how extreme this show will be, then the official trailer will spell it all out for you. In short, it’s going to be a wild ride.

Just Roll With It also features recurring guest stars Candace Kozak as Blair and Owen’s friend Ruth Booth, Michael Lanahan as school principal Mr. Penworth and J.C. Currais as The Gator. The series is created and executive produced by Adam Small and Trevor Moore, the minds behind Disney Channel’s prank comedy show Walk the PrankJust Roll With It will also be available on DisneyNOW June 19 after its official premiere.
