Kandi Burrus Gushes About Sheree Whitfield's 'RHOA' Return: 'Everybody Is Going To Root For Her From Beginning To End'

The trailer for Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has yet to be released but the cast says it’s sure to be one of the best ever. Several familiar faces are returning and longtime peach holder Kandi Burruss says that despite some fan favorites leaving, many will be happy to see what happens next. She says fans will be the most surprised by OG Sheree Whitfield.

Kandi Burruss says Sheree Whitfield surprised her the most

Whitfield is returning for the third time in the season’s history. In a recent interview with Page Six, Burruss says she’s most excited for viewers to see Whitfield this season.

“She came back more transparent than she ever was. She used to be really private,” Burruss said, adding that Whitfield is the most open and vulnerable she’s ever been. “She was just being her true self in a way that I feel like everybody is going to root for her from beginning to end…She was just extremely vulnerable with all that she was dealing with. It sounds like there’s much more to the story than another cease and desist sent Bravo’s way, and I cannot wait to watch it all unfold.”

It is rumored that much of Whitfield’s storyline will be centered on her relationship with Tyrone Gilliams. She’ll also be taking viewers inside She by Sheree.

Before Whitfield officially returned, Burruss was always in favor of her returning.

“I always love Shereé. She’s always good TV to me,” Burruss said last summer as reported by The Jasmine Brand. “She’s had some very explosive moments in some of these past seasons. So, I’m here for it, honestly. If they decide that they want Shereé to come back, I’m here for it.”

Burruss also talked to S&A Unscripted about the upcoming season and her new show, 'Kandi & The Gang'

“On Kandi & The Gang, I think you’ll get to see a lot of transparency because I think after so many years, a lot of people don’t want to mess up their brand, they don’t want to show certain things when it comes to RHOA,” she told us. “It’s not even really about Todd and me, it’s more so about the stuff that’s happening with everybody else that works there and this is their first season on television so they are extremely transparent about everything that they have going on. Another thing is that this series has more men than any other reality show that I believe that Bravo has.”

She added, “This new season of [RHOA] is even better because the women are a lot more transparent,” Burruss revealed. “I’m just giving you that tidbit because it hasn’t come out yet, but it’s going to be really good in that way.”
