Karen Finney To Host New Weekend Show On MSNBC

nullAs CNN is losing black on-air talent such as Soledad O’Brien and Roland Martin (though honestly is anyone going to miss him or his ascots?), and Fox News still remains terrified of black people (aside from Dr. Ben Carson), I suppose it’s up to MSNBC to come to the rescue.

So, answering the call, the network announced yesterday that regular MSNBC political pundit Karen Finney will be hosting her own afternoon weekend show, from 4-5PM (Eastern time) on the network.

Finney was previously the first African American spokesperson for the Democratic National Committee, the former press secretary for Hillary Clinton, currently a columnist for both The Hill and Politico, and has been a regular fixture on MSNBC as a commentator and occasional guest host, since 2009.

Phil Griffin, who is the president of the network said in a statement, announcing the new show, that: “Karen’s rich background in

both education policy and politics will add a unique point of view to our

expanding live weekend programming.”

When Finney’s new show will premiere and what it will be called, will be announced in a few weeks.
