Lifetime is adding to its original movie slate with a romantic comedy titled “The 10th Date,” from writer/director Nzingha Stewart, which will star Kelly Rowland, singer Keri Hilson, Kellee Stewart, Meagan Good, Brandon T. Jackson, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman and “So You Think You Can Dance” host Cat Deeley.

“The 10th Date” follows four friends at different stages in their respective lives as they search for love.

Official synopsis: Gabby (Good), Nell (Stewart), Billie (Hilson) and Margot (Rowland) balance their dating life alongside their career ambitions at an upscale website in Los Angeles, under the watchful eye of their editor, Maureen (Deeley). Inspired by the site’s relationship advice column to find “the one,” Gabby and Nell embark on their own journeys towards the elusive “10th date,” the Holy Grail in the dating world when women believe men are finally committed. As the ladies navigate the ups and downs of modern dating, romance, exes and friendships, they learn what they really want out of life and love.

Brandon T. Jackson plays Dante, a creative director at the site, and Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman plays Freddy, Nell’s bisexual boyfriend.

In addition to writing and directing, Nzingha Stewart (who also helmed Lifetime’s “With This Ring” which premiered on the network last year) will executive produce “The 10th Date,” along with Wendy Finerman and Lisa Zupan.

Lina Wong and Kyle Clark will serve as producers of the SilverScreen Pictures Inc. project.

“The 10th Date” is now filming in Los Angeles; a 2017 premiere is expected.
