Kenan Thompson is developing a new kids comedy sketch show with the team behind 'All That'

SNL’s longest running cast member is branching out into a new endeavor, and for 90s/80s babies, it’ll feel right at home.

Kenan Thompson is developing a new kids comedy sketch show, Skoogle, and he is developing it with the team behind the hit Nickelodeon comedy sketch series, All That. It’ll be through pocket.watch, “a media brand that creates, acquires, distributes and curates content for kids age 2-11 across a variety of platforms.”

It will see Thompson again work with Albie Hecht, the Chief Content Officer of pocket.watch and the former President of Nickelodeon Entertainment for the new series. Hecht, the original Nick executive behind All That, will be an executive producer with Thompson. Also, Thompson’s All That co-star, Josh Server, will also be a producer.

Kenan Thompson is a comedic genius. At Nickelodeon, I witnessed first-hand Kenan and his fellow cast members ability to turn everyday scenarios into hilarious adventures. I’m very excited to have the opportunity to once again reteam with Kenan and bring premium sketch comedy to a new generation of fans,” said Hecht in a statement.

The new show, Skoogle, is a premium sketch comedy show featuring Thompson as the voice of SKOOGLE, an Alexa like digital assistant for kids who has been created to help kids everywhere with their daily problems.  Along with his kid entrepreneur inventors, Skoogle will satirize everything from service apps to streaming entertainment to social media.
