Cynthia Bailey and Kenya Moore didn’t have the best time together filming Ultimate Girls Trip. The former BFFs and Real Housewives of Atlanta co-stars clashed throughout the eight-day excursion. Bailey felt Moore didn’t have her back in certain situations, while Moore felt Bailey was moody and complained during the vacay. Per Bailey, their friendship is forever changed. It’s unclear what the future holds for the two, but in the final episode of the show, Moore said she feels Bailey was simply jealous of her bonding with the other women on the show.
Kenya Moore on why she believes Cynthia Bailey was jealous of her friendships on the show
Bailey tried sharing her frustrations with Bailey during the final day of their trip to ensure they went back to Atlanta without being in a distant space. But when Bailey tried to have the conversation, Moore let it be known that she was not interested, leaving Bailey emotional in her confessional.
“She shut me down and told me she doesn’t have time for this. When I walked out of her room, I think there was a part of my heart that just kinda closed up,” Bailey said, adding that she had to re-evaluate their relationship. Bailey also said it’s important that she learns how to teach people how to treat her, versus being a doormat of sense.
But Moore had a different perspective on what Bailey’s issues with her was during the trip.
She said it had nothing to do with Bailey not feeling supported by her. In fact, she feels Bailey was jealous of her forming friendships with other people.
“You know, it’s interesting because on my show I’m usually the one that’s being pushed out from the friend circle,” Moore said during her confessional. “But here, I’m vibing with everyone. I’m finally feeling like people can see who I really am. And they like me. I think that Cynthia is just jealous because she’s not really vibing with these women.”
Bailey did admit to Kyle Richards and Melissa Gorga that she did feel slightly jealous. “I’ve just never had to fight for Kenya’s attention before because, in our group of girls, she doesn’t have that many friends.”
On the last night there, Cynthia attempted to talk things out with Kenya while she was packing. But Kenya told her she didn’t want to talk because she wasn’t trying to end the trip in a negative way. This hurt Cynthia. “She shut me down and told me she doesn’t have time for this. When I walked out of her room, I think there was a part of my heart that just kinda closed up.”
Moore is currently filming for the new RHOA season while Bailey isn’t returning.
