Although Avengers: Infinity War is coming out this week, we’re all waiting on the sequel that matters most–Black Panther 2. So when are we going to get it? Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said that the decision is up to director Ryan Coogler.

Collider’s Steve Weintraub spoke with Feige during the Avengers: Infinity War press day, asking if Coogler would be back for a sequel.

“We definitely want Ryan to come back and that’s actively being worked out right now,” said Feige. “When will it be? A lot of it will be when Ryan wants to and not rushing anything, but I think we have an idea of when it will be.” However, Feige said Marvel won’t announce any post-Avengers 4 films until after Avengers 4 comes out. In fact, keeping stuff close to the chest is one of the main reasons Marvel isn’t coming to Comic-Con this year.

We know the fourth Avengers film is set for 2019, meaning we won’t get any word until then. If that’s the case, you can probably do the math on the earliest we could see a bonafide Black Panther sequel in the theaters. But with the fan reaction to Black Panther being exponentially great, maybe Marvel can fast-track the sequel so we don’t have to wait so long. We’ll just have to see.
