Kiersey Clemons will star in and produce a film set at AGC Studios on Lauren Simmons, the youngest woman to be a trader on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

AGC has acquired the life rights to Simmons’ story.

At the age of 23, Simmons is also the only woman trader to work full-time at the NYSE and only the second Black woman to trade full-time on the floor.

Simmons initially got a degree in genetics but explored other professions, responding to a LinkedIn job posting for a Wall Street company.

Clemons will produce with her managers Eddie Galan and Starr Andreef, AGC’s Stuart Ford, Greg Shapiro and Glendon Palmer.

The Lauren Simmons project will be the debut film for Clemons’ production banner, Girl on Mercury.

AGC also recently announced the Gabrielle Union rom-com The Perfect Find.

Clemons’ upcoming projects include Fox’s live musical Rent, the live-action Lady and the Tramp for Disney+ and the DC Comics film Flashpoint.

Deadline first reported this news.
