KiKi Layne has landed a key role in Olivia Wilde’s upcoming thriller film Don’t Worry Darling. She replaces Dakota Johnson, who had to back out of the New Line film due to scheduling conflicts.

Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Chris Pine and Gemma Chan also star. The film also stars Wilde in a supporting role. Deadline first reported the news.

Not much is known about the plot still, but we do know that it is “is set in an isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert.” Katie Silberman penned the screenplay based on a spec script from Shane and Carey Van Dyke. The project is a buzzy one, with over 18 studios and streamers bidding on it before New Line nabbed the rights.

Layne, who was the breakout lead of Barry Jenkins’ If Beale Street Could Talk, was last seen in Gina Prince-Bythewood’s Netflix action pic, The Old Guard.
