Killing Eve‘s Kirby Howell-Baptiste is adding NBC’s The Good Place to her television repertoire.

Howell-Baptiste was cast in a recurring role as Simone, a neuroscientist who works with Chidi (William Jackson Harper) at an Australian university. Creator Michael Schur told Entertainment Weekly that Chidi asks for her help to “figure out if there’s something wrong with his brain.”

Entertainment Weekly has also posted the first look image from the upcoming season, which shows Howell-Baptiste meeting Chidi and Eleanor (Kristen Bell). Chidi and Simone’s relationship will be part of Chidi, Eleanor, Tahani (Jameela Jamil) and Jason’s (Manny Jacinto) second chance at living a good life on Earth.

The third season of The Good Place will air September 27. Howell-Baptiste is currently starring on Killing Eve, Barry and Love. She has also been featured on Alone Together and The Powerpuff Girls. She will be seen in the TV movie Girls Code and upcoming comedy film It’s a Party alongside Ego Nwodim, Carl Tart and Tone Bell.
