The upcoming Warner Bros. film on Venus and Serena Williams’ father had added three key additions to its cast.

Joining Will Smith as Richard Williams will be Hidden Figures and The Passage‘s Saniyya Sidney as young Venus and The Godfather of Harlem’s Demi Singleton as young Serena.  Aunjanue Ellis, last seen in When They See Uswill be their mother, Oracene “Brandi” Williams.

Reinaldo Marcus Green (Monsters & Men) is the director and Zach Baylin wrote the script, which was on The Black List. The description, per Deadline: “It’s a true story of the hardscrabble but iron-willed father of Venus and Serena Williams who had a plan to make his daughters the greatest tennis players in the world. This is how he pulled it off.”

Produced by Smith’s Westbrook Studios and Star Thrower, the film’s producers are Tim White, Trevor White and James Lassiter. Jada Pinkett Smith and Caleeb Pinkett executive produce.
