The James Comey miniseries from CBS Studios has found its actor to play former President Barack Obama.

The OA star Kingsley Ben-Adir will step into his shoes for the project, which does not have a network yet, but it could be placed at CBS All Access, Showtime or both. The miniseries is based on Comey’s book, A Higher Loyalty. Production commenced last week.

The cast already includes Jeff Daniels as Comey, Brendan Gleeson as Donald Trump, Holly Hunter as Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, Michael Kelly as Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, Jennifer Ehle as Patrice Comey, Peter Coyote as Robert Mueller, Steven Pasquale as Peter Strzok and Oona Chaplin as Lisa Page.

Per Deadline, who broke this casting news, the book covers Comey’s “role in helping to change the Bush administration’s policies on torture and electronic surveillance to overseeing the Hillary Clinton email investigation as well as possible ties between the Trump campaign and Russia, and before that his tenure as a prosecutor of terrorists, mobsters and Martha Stewart. Of course, a big part of the narrative and focus of the miniseries is his testy relationship with and eventual firing by President Trump.”

Ben-Adir can also be seen soon in Hulu’s High Fidelity reboot opposite Zoe Kravitz and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.

President Obama has been portrayed on screen in two notable appearances: Devon Terrell in the Netflix film, Barry, and Parker Sawyers in Southside with You.
