Lance Reddick's Suspense Thriller "St. Sebastian" Heading To Cannes With "For Sale" Sign

I think I speak for the rest of the S&A crew when I say that we're fans of Lance Reddick's work; most will likely remember him from his role in HBO's hit series The Wire, or maybe most recently, from Fringe.

As announced back in March, Reddick formed a production company called Christai Productions, along with manager/producer Steven Adams, with the goal being to develop "actor story-driven film and television projects with juicy lead characters that will attract talent and are a little "outside the box" but with a sharp eye to genre and budget."

And one of those collaborations is now officially complete – a thriller titled St. Sebastian, which stars Reddick, alongside Bill Fichtner, and Constance Zimmer, and which was directed by Danny DeVito.

It was reported over the weekend that principal photography has indeed wrapped on the project, and it's currently in post-production, with plans set to take the film to Cannes this week, where it's expected to sell to territories around the globe.

St Sebastian's is described "a suspense thriller with a supernatural twist;" and its synopsis reads:

The film revolves around a wounded cop, a wounded murderer and a sultry nurse. The three are thrust together, as war rages outside the only possible safe house, an abandoned City Hospital. With no doctors and only a few poor decrepit souls as witnesses, it becomes a rats’ maze as the antagonistic trio get separated, and we find out the real reason they are there.

Reddick plays the wounded murderer, Fichtner the wounded cop, and Zimmer the sultry nurse.

As director DeVito adds: "I was truly excited about getting behind the camera on this one. It is my first foray into the thriller genre and I’ve enjoyed the challenge of making an 89 minute edge-of-your-seater…"

Up next for Reddick, look for him in the Viola Davis education reform drama Won’t Back Down, which is scheduled for a fall release.

And look out for our interview with Reddick, which should be posted later this week.
