'Last Chance U' renewed for Season 3 at Netflix

Last Chance U has been renewed for a third season at Netflix.

Inspired by a feature article in GQ magazine, Last Chance U follows the stories of elite athletes in tough life circumstances who struggle to find their redemption on a champion junior college football team and hopefully realize their dreams of competing at the next level.

The junior college at the focus of this season will be Independence Community College in Kansas. The Independence Pirates are coming off their first winning season in ten years under first year Head Coach Jason Brown.

“While we now have the opportunity to head to Kansas, we hope to revisit the people we’ve grown to love over the past two seasons of Last Chance U. We are forever grateful to the talented team at East Mississippi Community College who dedicated months of their lives in Scooba and trusted us to tell their incredible stories,” said director Greg Whiteley.

The season will premiere next year.
