The Motivation is a documentary series that takes a candid look into the wild world of professional skateboarding. From The Orchard, the third installment, Motivation 3: The Next Generation takes a look at the world through the eyes of its young skaters.
From acclaimed director Adam Bhala Lough, Motivation 3 follows a group of the world’s best unknown skaters as they compete for the industry’s biggest amateur contest, Tampa Am. This part in the series is unique in its focus on up-and-coming skaters looking for sponsorship and ultimately, fulfilling their dreams in the professional realm.
In this scene from Motivation 3, Dashawn Jordan reveals how he started skating and discusses his first big skateboarding contest wins.
“With Motivation 3: The Next Generation, we are continuing to realize our dream of making Motivation the premium documentary series in skateboarding and our partnership with The Orchard has been serendipitous in that regard,” said Lough. “They have been a true pleasure to work with and we look forward to future projects.”
Motivation 3 was produced by Lough, Tim Dowlin, and Ethan Higbee for Rain Dominion and co-executive produced by Paul Zitzer and Brian Schaefer from Skatepark of Tampa.
