In an interview with Complex during an episode of their series, Sneaker Shopping, Lauren London has confirmed that a sequel of the 2000s cult classic film, ATL, is in development.

The sequel has been a hot topic in past years. When the rumors first started in 2015, London denied the claims. However, this year, T.I. cryptically hinted at a second film in April of this year in an Instagram picture with London. In September, he posted more on Instagram, suggesting the sequel was in the works.

On Sneaker Shopping, London said: “I know that they are working on it…and I know that (they are) trying to push (it) forward. I don’t know so but so much..that would be a great T.I. question.”

The film, first released in 2006, stars T.I. (in his film debut) with an ensemble cast including London, Evan Ross, Jason Weaver, Big Boi, Mykelti Williamson, Tasha Smith, Keith David and more.

It was directed by Chris Robinson, Will Smith (the film is from his production company, Overbrook) and T-Boz were among its exec producers, and it is based on an original story by Antwone Fisher.
