Is a Law & Order mainstay returning to the revival of the show?

Jesse L. Martin talked about the possibility of reprising his role as NYPD Detective Ed Green on the upcoming NBC revival. The show is returning soon.

In an interview on the CBS daytime show The Talk, Martin talked about the upcoming revival and if he could come back.

“I certainly hope so. There were a lot of loose ends when Ed Green left the scene, if you will,” Martin said before adding, “Yes, maybe.”

Martin, who currently stars as Joe West on the CW superhero show The Flash, starred on Law and Roder for 10 seasons from 1999 to 2008. He also made appearances on the franchise’s spin-offs, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Law and Order: Justice is Served and Law and Order: Criminal Intent.

Prior to Law and Order, Martin appeared on numerous shows such as 413 Hope St, New York Undercover, One Life To Live, The X-Files and Ally McBeal.

The last time viewers saw the character of Ed Green, he left the NYPD after he was indicted and tried for a shooting. Although the charges were dropped and Green was still on the force, the character ultimately made the unamiable decision to leave the police force.

Law & Order returns with Season 21 on Thursday, February 24. With returning star Anthony Anderson, the revival series also stars Jeffery Donovan, Hugh Dancy, Odelya Halevi and Camryn Manheim.
