LeBron James Reveals When 'Space Jam 2' Will Start Filming

Space Jam 2 will commence production in a few months!

LeBron James confirmed during All-Star Weekend in Charlotte that Space Jam 2 will start filming this summer. James is set to star in the film, taking on Michael Jordan’s mantle from the 1996 original. James will also executive produce with Ryan Coogler.

Sports Illustrated’s The Crossover posted a snippet of its interview with James, which revealed the Space Jam 2 update.

The film will be directed by experimental director and Random Acts of Flyness creator Terence Nance. From the first-look image, released by James’ production company, SpringHill Entertainment, people have surmised that the film will be released Jan. 23, 2021, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
