The comedy series in development from 2 Broke Girls creator Whitney Cummings and Lee Daniels at Amazon is now dead.

News on Good People had been scant for a while, and several of its stars had become attached to other projects.

Cummings, Lisa Kudrow, Tasha Smith, Greg Kinnear, Martin Short and Josie Totah were set to star.

The pilot was written by Cummings and Daniels, with the latter also directing the pilot. The series would have revolved around three generations of women—played by Kudrow, Cummings and Totah—working in the ombudsman’s office of a college that navigates the current cultural climate, the concept of feminism across different generations and the struggle to reconcile socially constructed ideas with current ethical views regarding complex issues such as sex, race, class and gender.

Deadline first reported the news that the project was not moving forward.
