Jimmy Kimmel Live! had a guest co-host Wednesday night, and it was non-other than our favorite multi-hyphenate, Lena Waithe. As Kimmel was hosting his All in the Family and The Jeffersons live special, Waithe stepped in for the late-night host.
During Waithe’s just over 15-minute monologue, Halle Berry (who produces BET’s Boomerang with her) came out to promote John Wick 3 and plant a kiss on the producer-writer-actress! And Waithe’s writers’ room? A group of kids (at the 9:23 mark)!
Later in the show, Waithe interviewed social media star and one of the stars of Boomerang, Lala Milan and Chicago rapper, Chika. She also spoke to John Travolta and his daughter, Ella Bleu, about going viral.
As successful as this went, could the next project for the ever-busy Waithe be a late-night show? We could see it!
