Letitia Wright has opened up about tackling The Black Panther without Chadwick Boseman.

Boseman, who died in August at the age of 43 from colon cancer, played T’Challa in Black Panther. As we know, not only was Boseman the king of Wakanda, but he was also the brother to Wright’s character Shuri.

In an October 19 interview with Porter, Wright talked about the task of tackling the film without the man she called “my brother.”

“We’re just still mourning Chad, so it’s not something I even want to think about,” she said. “The thought of doing it without him is kinda strange.” She also added that she is still “grieving at the moment and is “trying to find the light in the midst of it.”

Fans have been speculating about the future of Black Panther after Boseman’s death, with some wanting Shuri to take over the mantle, as shown in the comic books. But others want the films to end now that Boseman can no longer play the title role.
